The participation of the Powerlifting Association of the Philippines (PAP) in the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China, was a historic milestone for Philippine strength sports. For the first time, the nation’s powerlifting presence reached the highest echelon of non-Olympic sport, marking a definitive shift in the country's standing within the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF). At the heart of this achievement were KILOS.PH co-owners Joyce Gail Reboton and Willord Capulong, who represented the Philippines as athlete and coach, respectively.

This qualification was a historical achievement, as it marked a rare moment where a Filipino powerlifting athlete secured a spot on the world stage alongside their dedicated coach. Joyce Reboton’s participation as an elite athlete was the culmination of years of rigorous training on the platforms of KILOS.PH, supported by the strategic oversight of Willord Capulong. Their presence in Chengdu was not just a personal victory but a validation of the technical standards and coaching excellence being fostered within the Philippine powerlifting community.

Preparing for World Games powerlifting involves meticulous adherence to international standards and a highly calculated peaking cycle. Our team utilized the competition-grade Eleiko gear at KILOS.PH to ensure their training mirrored the exact conditions they would face in China. This level of technical preparation was essential for competing against the strongest individuals on the planet. While the games have concluded, the legacy of this qualification remains, proving that with the right infrastructure and leadership, Philippine powerlifting is now a global contender.
